November 2015 Rel. Ed. Newsletter

We are going to NCYC this month! I would ask that each family and person take time between Nov. 1st and Nov. 22nd to pray for our 17 youth and 10 adults attending NCYC this month.   Pray for an encounter with Christ for each of us, safe travels for all, and that the will of God be made know to each of us.  Thank you for your support.   Our bus will load up around 8:30pm on Wednesday Nov. 18 and we will return in the afternoon of Nov. 22.   Thank to each of the parents for the gift of a large amount of money and time for this pilgrimage.  Thank you to the students for their commitment and time to go.  Thank you to the sponsors who are giving up time with family, jobs, and much sleep to go.   And thank you to our parish for all of your support both financial and prayer.
Our K-8th grade PSR students will meet Wednesday Nov. 4th, 11th, and 18th for PSR but not on the 25th due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  High School PSR will meet Nov. 1st and 15th from 6:30-8pm.  The Diocese High School gathering will be Dec. 6th in Dodge City.
I also want to remind the 8th grade to 12th grade students about helping with the Turkey Dinner on Nov. 8th.  11th and 12th grade students able to drive and asked to help deliver carry out order for the Turkey dinner from 11:15-1pm.  9th and 10th grade students are asked to help clear table and carry trays from 12-1pm and 8th graders will do the same from 1-2pm.  This is an all parish event that benefits all. Please plan to help in some way.
First Reconciliation is fast approaching for our students.  Dec. 2nd is First Reconciliation centers for parents and students in the gym.  First Reconciliation practice will be for students from 4-4:30pm on the 4th of December.  First Reconciliation will be on Saturday Dec. 5th at 1pm in the church with a cookie reception afterwards.
Adult Education:  Bible study of the Book of Acts continues on Thursday nights in November from 6:30-8pm on the 5th and 12th.  The other two Thursdays fall during the NCYC trip and on Thanksgiving.  We will resume on December 3rd.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
