Confirmation pick sponsor, research name: It was discussed that Erin was concerned that the confirmation students put some thought into choosing their confirmation names.  Kim Evert indicated she felt that the students did research this last year.  Erin asked that the students find out why their parents chose their name.  It was in an effort to have the students understand the reason for their given name.

PGC safe environment sessions for the K-5 are done for fall, but we still need to do 6th-HS.
Opening night of PSR had good turn out at Mass

First Reconciliation went well, thanks Griselda for your help.

We are working on a date for a Pizza party before class and have a few Ellsworth prisoners with their chaplin visit classrooms.

The adult Catholicism DVD class is closed until after Christmas.

The Adult Bible study meeting at the Woodruff's home now from 6:30-8PM.

Wed. Jan 9th is the ITV for catechists and dinner is: chili, cinnamon rolls, crackers, carrots, tea coffee water. Brenda and Erin will provide chili, Cindy will bring cinnamon rolls, carrots, and crackers. Erin will make the drinks that day.

Confirmation Letters will be sent to sponsors soon.

A discussion was had about investigating bring Totus Tuus to the parish this summer for our annual VBS and also they would have a youth program in the evenings. The cost for one team is $1350. Erin will check on dates. And share that information with the commission. Erin will check on August dates.

Adult small group ideas discussion: Some ideas for adult learning were: The Lazy Lenten Learning series again. Perhaps do a Family night on PSR again. Erin would need some help putting this together. Another idea is a Book club with an optional meeting to cover questions on the book. The idea is to pick one book, buy it cheap to sell/give to parish members who want to read the book. Then post chapter questions on the website and bulletin for people to consider and also meet to chat about if they want. One book suggested was Rediscover Catholicism.

Our next meeting will be the 1st Wed. of Jan. from 5:45-6:30. So that would be Jan. 2, 2013.

The Scavenger hunt was Oct 17th and went well. We collected quite a bit of food. After we made up the 12 baskets we took 450 lbs of food to the Food Bank.
The bierock fund raiser for the youth should make over $2000.00. We still a few dozen beirocks left. The High School class sorted the aluminum cans and earned $160 put in the youth fund.

The Discount card preparation is done and we are just waiting for cards to come in mail. I am trying to nail down who is going to NCYC so I know who to give cards too. It was suggested that Erin use a log sheet to keep track of who took what cards but to share the proceeds between all participants as long as they help fund raise.
